Privacy policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
Quiznova is a quiz platform for classrooms. Many of the people who use it are children, so we collect as little as we can, never sell or share data for advertising, and make it easy to delete. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Quiznova is a product of Infoleen (“we”).
In short
- Guests who join a quiz with a code give only a display name. Their answers are deleted 7 days after the quiz closes.
- Accounts hold a name, email address, country and — for students — birth year. Profile pictures are chosen from built-in avatars; we never collect photos.
- Leaderboards show a nickname (handle), never a real name.
- No advertising, no ad tracking, no selling or renting of data.
- You can delete your account and its data yourself at any time.
What we collect
| Who | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Guest players | Display name; answers and scores for that quiz | So the teacher can see results |
| Students | Name, email, password (stored hashed by our sign-in provider), birth year, country, a parent's email where consent is needed, chosen avatar, quiz history, points | To run the account, apply age rules and parental consent, show progress and leaderboards |
| Teachers | Name, email, password (hashed), school or organisation (optional), country, quizzes, question pictures, classes and their results | To run the account and the teaching tools |
| Paying customers | Plan, subscription status and payment records (amount, date, invoice number). Card details are handled by Paddle only — we never see them. | To provide what you paid for and keep financial records |
| Account holders | When you sign in and on which days you use Quiznova, with the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer — not which one); when a teacher publishes a quiz | To keep accounts secure and to understand how Quiznova is used, so we can improve it |
| Everyone | IP address, briefly, for abuse protection (rate limits); error logs | To keep the service secure and working |
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores only what it needs in your browser to keep you signed in and to let a guest continue a quiz after a reload.
Children and parental consent
Students under the age of digital consent in their country (for example 18 in India, 13 in the United States, 16 in parts of Europe, and as set for each Gulf country) can use an account only after a parent or guardian approves it by email. Until then the account cannot be used, and if it is not approved within 14 days it is deleted. Guests do not create an account and are not asked for personal details beyond a display name.
Parents and guardians can ask us to see or delete their child's data at any time by writing to contact@infoleen.in. Teachers see their students' names and results only for their own quizzes and classes.
How we use it — and what we never do
We use data only to provide Quiznova: running quizzes, marking answers, showing results to the right teacher, leaderboards, account security and support. Our legal bases are performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe, legal obligations (such as tax records), and consent where the law requires it (such as parental consent).
We never sell personal data, never use it for advertising or profiling, and never show ads to students.
How long we keep it
- Guest answers: 7 days after the quiz closes, or sooner if the teacher deletes them.
- Unapproved student accounts: deleted after 14 days.
- Sign-in and activity records: 180 days, and deleted with the account.
- Accounts: until you delete them. Deleting removes your account and data straight away. For students, teachers keep the quiz score in their class records without the student's name.
- Security backups: kept up to 14 weeks, then overwritten; deleted data disappears from them on that schedule.
- IP addresses used for rate limiting: deleted automatically, normally within a day.
- Payment records: kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the UAE and Saudi personal data protection laws, the GDPR or COPPA), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to or restrict how it is used. Most of this you can do yourself in Your account; for anything else write to contact@infoleen.in. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Scores are calculated on our servers, answers are never sent to a device before they may be shown, and access is limited by strict database rules. Admin actions are recorded in an audit log.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so on the site and, for account holders, by email. Questions: contact@infoleen.in.
